NPAC Meets Wednesday, September 6

The North Precinct Advisory Council will meet at a new location:

Wednesday, September 6, 2017
7-8:30 p.m.
Lakeside School, Kent Evans Auditorium
14050 1st Ave NE Seattle, WA

Guest speaker: Officer Chris Brownlee, one of the SPD representatives for the Joint Enforcement Team (JET) which is a multi-member, multi-disciplinary city departmental entity.  They work with SPD, the WA State Liquor and Cannabis Board and Seattle Fire Department to address nightlife issues (noise, crowd capacity, nuisance issues, etc).

During typical NPAC meetings, the first part of the agenda is for guest speakers. After that, NPAC members hear public safety-related reports from representatives from:
  • Seattle Police Department North Precinct leadership
  • North Precinct Community Police Team
  • North Precinct Crime Prevention Coordinator
  • Seattle City Attorney's Office
  • King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office
Informal networking with law enforcement and community members follows the agenda for about fifteen minutes.

NPAC meetings are open to the public.  The meetings are devoted to promoting partnerships and information sharing between citizens and law enforcement and justice agencies to effectively address public safety issues.
